Payroll Analyst
The Rising Tide HR Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, and providing insights to support our portfolio of client’s financial and operational goals. This role will also involve collaborating with the HR Business Partner team to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable legal requirements.
What Leads To The Success Of This Position:
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all clients, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned workers.
Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
Audit payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance. Prepare detailed payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company policies. Monitor payroll tax filings, deductions, and contributions (e.g., 401(k), health benefits, etc.).
Conduct payroll trend analysis, track labor costs, and provide recommendations for process improvements or cost-saving measures.
Address employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolution to payroll discrepancies.
Collaborate with client’s, the HRBP team, and external vendors to manage and improve payroll software systems, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Support benefit-related deductions, calculations, and compliance, coordinating with the HR team as needed.
Success Indicators & Metrics:
Time to fill - Reduced time-to-fill without sacrificing candidate fit.
Quality of hire - Effectiveness of sourcing high-quality candidates who succeed in their role over the first 6-12 months.
Offer acceptance rate - a high acceptance rate reflects your ability to match candidates’ expectations with the company’s ofer and improve closing efficiency.
Source of hire - utilizing the best channels for strategically sourcing top talent and optimizing the future recruitment needs of our clients.
Candidate and client experience - Positively impact these important parties' experience to help attract top talent to their brand.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state small to mid-size organization.
Strong understanding of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Gusto, or other relevant software) and payroll integration in ERP systems.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (vLookups, pivot tables, etc.).
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience
